Our main-webserver is down. We dunno why and for how long, but we keep ya informed.

Update: The data-center support told us that there was a lightning stroke and because of this many of the servers aren’t reachable. We hope that they will find a solution quickly

Update2: After the support told us that evreything should work again, we tried to restart the server. Nothing happend. We have had to make a filesystemcheck under the Rescue-System, but did not found any corruptions. Reboot -> Server back online, wtf?
Finally everything should work again, thanks for your patience.

Dear Community,

the stresstest has finally ended successfully. First, we’ve tested on Debian Sarge with a standard installation of the soldatserver and with Miracle Mod v1.0b included. After 10 minutes running, players can’t move, but chat The soldatserver did not crash down - no errors - just kind of freezing with nearly 100% cpu usage.

So we have uninstalled MMod again and have included some other scripts: Trenchwar Domination  v0.2.3 and Health Regeneration Around Medic. This test was successfully. We keep in mind, that we found a solution to handle “normal” scripts, but what about these huge mods?

We’ve asked EnEsCe if he could help a bit, for example with compiliing the soldatserver in another way. We’ll keep ya informed if anything happens.

New old OS? Yes, we are installing a new OS on one of our servers for hosting soldat-servers, but it’s an old OS: Debian Sarge. Debian Etch was not working. Neither Ubuntu was and some other OSs like these.

Some customers told us that the scripting core was working on our oldest machine, the main server. There was Sarge installed so: Back to the roots

If this test is positive, we’ll install the new old OS on all of our servers.
