Our Data Center, where the main server is located, have had a power problem - once again. They want to run some USV stresstests and, yeah, seems to be failed 
The official statement of the crew was:
“Durch einen unauthorisierten Lasttest des Usv technikers einer Fremdfirma ist das komplette Netz Lahmgelegt, wir bitte um eure Geduld” -
“Because of an unauthorized stresstest made by an USV technician from another company is the complete network powerless. Please be patient.”

So we have to wait until the supporter of the Data Center have fixed the power problem…
But our soldatservers are still online, because of hosted in another data center, so you play soldat on our servers while waiting for the page

The switch to the new phpBB version took a while but in the end everything turned out well.
Like suggested by the documentation we backuped the db before the conversion (and I’m happy that I have fast Internet now 
) which was about 420 MB big.
We disabled the forum at 23:50 and after a short time people started wondering what was happening (and they guessed right when they thought that we were upgrading to the new phpBB version). After the backup has been saved on my and the servers harddisk we changed php settings to be sure it will not fail because of a timeout.
We ran the conversiontool and got an first error message which told us that smilies and rank folders were missing or not writable and in fact we only needed to chmod 777 them in the new forum. A few minutes later we got the next error message. Somehow there where duplicated users with same username but different id in the Database.
After renaming them (they had all 0 posts) we continued the conversion but got worried about if the connection_timeout of 2 hours would be enough and if we should had set a higher value before. The conversion of the posts took years (ok at least one hour) at that time we were saw that the search index which was a lot bigger then the posts table would make us stay awake for a long time and that the 24h-disconnect could cause problems then.
But the search index hasn’t been converted so we saved a lot of time. After the conversion was finally done theme and language pack has been installed we where really happy.

One minute later he finally could leave to get some sleep (he had to go to work a few hours later).
After adding the newspost and creating the first thread in the new forum I found out that smilies where missing. In fact they weren’t copied to the new forum so I had to do it manually.
A few hours later we found out that all people had the English language set by default. Deleting the English language pack and installing it again fixed that issue but the theme we installed had no German localization. We will need to make it on our own
